Using the HoT Guide

The Harmony on Tap Guide helps you learn about the features of the site, what the site does for you, how to refer your friends, and how to make the most out of your music experiences!

Reading this guide

Read this guide like you would read a book; with chapters and pages in the chapters. At the bottom of each page, you will see a link to take you to the previous page and the next page. You can choose which chapters you want to read now, and come back later for more.

Content

Each page has a title which describes the topic of the page.

On the page itself, you will find content describing a feature, giving instructions, or otherwise providing information.

Using the HoT Guide

Each content section on a page has its own title to help you figure out if that content is useful to you.

The content in a section may be an introduction to an article or a chapter. At the bottom of a content section, you may find a link like the one in the example to the right.

To learn more about a particular topic, click the link at the bottom of the content section.

Sub pages

Sub page listing

Topics may require several pages to explain.

Look for sub pages listed at the bottom of articles you read; these sub pages contain more details you may find interesting or useful.

Some sub pages have their own sub pages.

When you click on a sub page link, it may "expand" to show more sub pages below it.

To read the article directly below the article you are currently reading, click on the second article title listed after the topics expand (example 1 in the screenshot to the left).

To skip the sub page and move ahead to a more detailed sub page, click on the sub page link below the second title listing (example 2 in the screenshot).

You may find the sub pages have yet more sub chapters below them. This means that the topic you are researching has a lot of information - the titles help you find the information most important to you.

Pagers

At the bottom of an article, you may find pagers. These show you the title of the previous page and/or the next page, if the article has a previous or next page.

The up link will take you to the next chapter up from the current article.
